My love of all animals started when I was very young but horses were my passion.  I started to have riding lessons at 10yrs old and spent the whole weekend at the riding stables helping to muck out and feed the horses.  When I was 11, I got Bamboo, a 13.2hh chestnut pony.  She was very timid but sweet natured and a very lively ride.  Getting Bamboo was a dream come true and since the day I got her I went to the stables every day.  I had Bamboo for 22years, she was 32 when she sadly passed away.

Since loosing Bamboo I have helped my friend look after her 2 horses.  I have been around horses for too long to not have them feature in my life in some way. That is why I decided to set up Holiday Horse Care.

I know how important holidays are for people, especially as we all work so hard, but it is also important for you to have someone you can trust to look after your pets when you are away.

I am not a qualified riding instructor or have exams in horse studies but I have over 25 years of hands on experience in caring for horses.  I am adaptable and trustworthy and would care for your horse or pony as if it was my own.

My love of animals extends to my holidays. Iin 2006 I went to South Africa and attended a Wildlife Training program which involved learning about and tracking wild african animals over a 2 week period.  I have also volunteered at MONA in Spain, which is a Chimpanzee sanctuary based in Girona.  I also volunteer for the R.S.P.C.A in Accrington where I walk the dogs that are waiting to be re-homed.

Holiday Horse Care is something I am doing in my spare time but is a long term goal to be my full time career.
